About

The online classroom portion of the NC Administrator in Training (AIT) program provides a flexible, interactive learning experience designed to prepare future administrators for the responsibilities of leading an assisted living community. Through structured modules, case studies, and real-world examples, students gain the knowledge needed to meet North Carolina’s requirements while developing practical leadership skills. Key features include: Comprehensive Modules: Covering all major areas of assisted living administration, including resident care services, operations, food and nutrition, staff training, activities, infection control, and the state survey process. Interactive Learning: Quizzes, case studies, and scenario-based activities to reinforce learning and encourage application of knowledge. Weekly Online Sessions: Live or recorded sessions with instructors to review content, answer questions, and discuss best practices. Self-Paced Study: Access course materials anytime, allowing students to learn at their own pace while balancing professional and personal commitments. Practical Application: Assignments and reflections designed to connect classroom learning with real-life administrative challenges. By the end of the online classroom portion, students will have the foundational knowledge, tools, and confidence to successfully complete their training and transition into the role of administrator.
